Igor Nastaskin
It’s a long way from Kiev to the Hollywood Riviera, but Igor’s quest to live in this special part of the world was worth all the trouble he went through to get here. Igor left his birthplace of Kiev, Ukraine with his mother in 1973, and made his way to Europe before eventually immigrating to Chicago in 1975. After attending the University of Chicago and Loyola University of Chicago, Igor became a CPA and joined a Big Eight accounting firm in the Windy City. In 1988, Igor moved to Southern California to work in Finance at PepsiCo. He went on to serve in high-level finance positions at Nissan Motor Corporation and Activision and furthered his education with an MBA from Long Beach State in 1995.
In 2001, Igor combined his passion for real estate with his experience in business and finance to become a Realtor. It was a move that has brought him immense personal and professional satisfaction because he gets to do what he loves every day …help people enjoy a better life by expertly guiding them through their real estate decisions.
A long-time Hollywood Riviera resident, Igor has earned a reputation as the expert in this area and also specializes in the Palos Verdes Peninsula, Torrance, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach and San Pedro. Igor has sold more homes in the Hollywood Riviera than any other Realtor since 2001, with nearly 300 transactions and over $325 million in total sales volume.
Igor is continuously ranked in the top 10 of individual producers at Estate Properties (out of approximately 400 agents) and has been recognized with multiple awards for his exceptional sales achievements.
Igor was awarded Quality Service Certified® Platinum status, the highest level of service achievement in the real estate industry. The award recognizes that Igor earned 100 percent client service satisfaction, as measured by Leading Research Corporation. Quality Service Certified (QSC) status is the only award in the real estate industry based on independently validated, measurable service results.
Igor was presented with the “Real Estate Online Marketing Award of Excellence” by Realtor.com for his outstanding marketing of clients’ homes. He is a proud sponsor of the Riviera Elementary School Character Counts Program, donating approximately $50,000 to date, and makes a donation to the Children’s Miracle Network for every transaction. As part of the Riviera Sportsman’s Club, Igor has served as the Relay For Life team captain since 2003, helping to raise funds for the American Cancer Society.
Supported by his talented professional staff, Igor works directly with his clients and listens carefully to their needs and objectives. Igor lives in the Hollywood Riviera with his wife, Suzy Silver Nastaskin (who grew up in the Riviera). They have three children who were all raised in the Hollywood Riviera: Isabelle, a speech-language pathologist and founder of Cali Kids Speech Therapy; Aaron, a broker of fine specialty foods and founder of From Foods; and Jacob, a Senior Software Engineer at Helix Affiliates. Fluent in Russian, Igor was a former tennis teaching pro and he still plays as often as his busy schedule allows. He is also passionate about playing ice hockey.
